Activities

At Warminster Scout Group, we have the fortune of having permit holders in many different activities. Below is a list of Activities that we get up to

Shooting

Warminster Scouts offers young people the opportunity to participate in a diverse array of activities, including air rifle target shooting supervised by our resident NSRA instructor and scout leader. Whether it’s their first time or they’re aiming to improve their skills and scores, our focus is always on ensuring a fun and safe experience for all participants. This activity is open to scout groups within the district and beyond, as well as other clubs like the Girl Guides. Sessions are regularly held at Warminster Scout Hut for a nominal fee covering targets, pellets, and equipment maintenance or replacement.

We’re also open to collaborating with other groups who have qualified instructors in different activities. If your group has such instructors and is interested in partnering with us, we can explore the possibility of exchanging services to expand the range of activities available to both groups. We’re even willing to bring the necessary equipment to your premises, provided it’s suitable, authorized for the activity, and insured accordingly. Please use the booking link to express your interest or inquire further, including if you’d like us to conduct sessions at your location.

Archery

At Warminster Scouts, we’re committed to offering our young members a diverse range of activities. Among these is archery, led by our skilled Archery GB instructors and scout leaders, utilizing our extensive selection of bow and arrow sizes. Whether participants are beginners or aiming to refine their skills and scores, our priority in every session is ensuring a fun and safe environment.

We extend this opportunity to all scout groups, whether local or from farther afield, as well as to other organizations like the Girl Guides. Regular archery sessions are held at Warminster Scout Hut for a nominal fee covering targets, equipment maintenance, and replacements as needed. If you’re interested, please visit the booking form link below to submit your inquiry, and we’ll promptly get back to you.

Additionally, if your group has qualified instructors in other activities, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate. By sharing expertise, we can expand the range of activities available to both our groups. If your premises are suitable and appropriately insured, we’re even prepared to bring all necessary equipment to you, albeit with an increased cost to cover fuel expenses. If this interests you, please indicate your preference on the booking form. We look forward to hearing from you!

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
