Adult Volunteers

Scouting is delivered by amazing volunteers and the more help we have the less everyone has to do.

Whether you want to support young people directly or if you’re more comfortable planning an adventure from the sidelines, we want you to think about some of the skills you may have from your work or other areas of life, this could be as simple as facilitating meetings, finance skills or being creative. You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to volunteer.

Our ‘extraordinary leaders’ within Warminster Scout Group are really ordinary people, just like you and me. We all give up a little bit of time each week in order to ensure that our Young People become the very best individuals they can be, making memories, learning skills, building resilience, dreaming big. We come with whatever individual skills we naturally possess, putting our energy, enthusiasm, motivation and passion on the line to help young people become whatever they want. Anyone can do it – we’d really like you to consider whether you too would like to be ‘anyone’.

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
