Scouting continues to be extremely popular....and at the moment there are no spaces available in the Beavers section at Warminster Scout Group on a Thursday

When spaces do become available they are allocated according to our ‘Joining Policy’ Joining Policy

You now have 3 possible choices:

  • Become an adult helper
  • Request to be added to waitlist
  • Check other local Scout Groups

Become an adult helper
One of the biggest factors causing us to have a waiting list is the availability of adult helpers as we have to make sure that we have a minimum level of adult support for each section meeting. We are always looking for new adult helpers for all of our sections, and if we had more helpers this could help us increase the size of our sections or enable us to open additional ones. Whether you are looking for a uniformed or non-uniformed role, we would be pleased to hear from you. The Scout Association has a comprehensive training programme to help develop you in the role you choose, and a lot of employers will recognise the training provided and the experience you gain, as well as encouraging and supporting you with your community efforts. For more information on volunteering, or to make contact with one of our leaders to talk to them, please click on the link Volunteering

Add to Waitlist
Assuming your child (or children) meets the minimum age requirements for the Beavers section which is 5 years and 9 months, please complete the waitlist enquiry form and one of our section leaders will be in touch shortly about putting them onto the waiting list. Please be aware that waitlisting is not a guarantee of a place becoming available and it is possible that because of the 'joining policy', places which become available may be offered first to children who joined the waiting list later than your child. Check other Groups
It may be that other groups within the Wiltshire West District or across the County have places available. Please use the link below to connect to the Wiltshire West District Scout site. On here you should then be able to see, on the ‘Groups’ tab where other groups are located, where and when they meet, and also get some contact information that will enable you to contact them.
