WaRMINSTER SCOUT GROUP
Helping young people to experience the outdoors, gain confidence & reach their full potential.
About UsThe Warminster Scout Group is a registered charity and was formed on 20th October 2008 following the amalgamation of the 1st Warminster and 6th Warminster (St John's) Scout Groups. It sits within the Wiltshire West 'District' of the Scout Association in Wiltshire.
The Group continues to grow and offer varied scouting opportunities through Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts sections. Each section is run by experienced Scout Leaders supported by a number of adult volunteers. The overall Group is controlled and managed through the Group Executive Committee who are responsible for making decisions and carrying out administrative tasks to ensure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to the young people in the Group. All of the adults within the Group give their time voluntarily to support the young people within the sections. For more information please see the 'Volunteering' page, or any of the section leaders. |
WhAT WE DO |
Every year, scouting in the UK helps 450,000 young people enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. It is the largest mixed youth organisation in the country. We aim to help each young person develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We believe there’s something for everyone - it’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world.
