About Us

The Cubs section is open to young people aged between 8 - 10 1/2 years old

When we meet

We meet every Tuesday during term time between 18.30 and 20.00
The section is a large, energetic group which is popular, and at times has a waiting list to join.As you can see above, we meet on a Tuesday evening for and hour and a half and we often have weekends for extra activities. Cub Scouting is about learning skills that might not be picked up elsewhere, whilst having fun at the same time. Many of the activities we do contribute to 'badges'. The typeso factivities we did last year are:

The types of activities we do include outings, camping, canoeing, hikes, and backwoods cooking to name a few. We also have a large selection of indoor games for when the weather is not as great as we might like. The section is run by a dedicated group of leaders who give their spare time voluntarily, and all of whom undergo Scout Association training.

Scouting is not just for the younger set....it is as much fun for adults as well, and there is plenty of social networking between leaders. Knowing that you are giving something back to the youngsters give you a buzz - come along, we'd be delighted to see you
